MILITARY

The U.S. and international military have been among GEECO's most consistent clients. GEECO has been providing the U.S. Armed Services with oxygen and nitrogen plants since 1956. These plants are used to produce oxygen for aviator's breathing and nitrogen for such uses as blanketing flammable materials, topping off fuel tanks, and inflating aircraft tires.

was installed on the G.W. in 1997.

U.S. Rep. Rosa Delauro, D-3 with GEECO
President Gunnar Lund.

Our plants have earned a reputation for outstanding reliability even under the most severe conditions. GEECO Oxygen/Nitrogen Generation Systems are the U.S. Navy's first choice for installation on aircraft carriers, where high shock requirements, constant motion and salt air combine to create an extraordinarily difficult environment for air separation equipment. GEECO recently completed a cryogenic air separation plant to produce oxygen and nitrogen for the USS George Washington, and has also been awarded the contract to manufacture two similar plants for installation on the Navy's newest supercarrier, the USS Ronald Reagan.

"Its truly an issue of life and death to those who serve
on our nation's ships and airplanes. The planes simply
cannot fly without fully operational gas plants on board."
U.S. Rep. Rosa Delauro, D-3
