These compressors are multi-stage reciprocating machines, precision built for continuous heavy duty, 24 hour-a-day service and engineered to help cut maintenance costs and reduce down time. Completely packaged units ready to be connected to water, power and gas lines, can be furnished. Two basic high pressure gas compressors covering the capacity range 150 to 1200 CFM are offered, the HI-TECH 300 and the HI-TECH 660. These compressors can deliver gas at pressures up to 3500 PSIG. They are balanced opposed, 2 throw, 5 stage, water cooled machines mounted on a steel base and shipped as a completely packaged unit with all interconnecting piping installed. All cylinders are equipped with wet liners for easy replacement. The compressor is designed for non-lubricated operation but whenever permissible, forced feed lubrication is provided to each stage to extend ring life. Piston rings and rider rings are fabricated from non-metallic synthetic materials to ensure long life and minimize internal damage due to breakage of a ring. The unique cylinder cooling design gives exceptionally low interstage temperatures and minimizes carbon formation. The compressor valves are specially designed to give minimum flow resistance. Compressor drives include flange-mounted, V-belt and direct coupled synchronous or induction electric motors. All required guards and an autotransformer type starter are furnished with each compressor. Many HI-TECH compressors have been in extended operation in locations throughout the world and their performance has been outstanding. Ring life has been in excess of 10000 hours and maintenance and repair time has been exceptionally low.
